Safe the earth, review

From this video, there are some people who really concern about the environment. However, it is still too little, as developments are increasing nowadays. People really should think about conserving their environment, in the same time, developing their life. Using renewable resources is the right solution. Like building huge windmills, it is environmentally friendly, and support a huge amount of energy. Then, the house that is called 'good house'. It is using the solar panel to empower the electricity.

Scientists have found new invention of using human waste to become bio energy. That is very amazing, as a car can be operated using this new resources and it is environmentally friendly. Now people really consider about their world. There is also a car that using the electricity as the energy. If this invention can be seriously done, maybe one day there are no pollutant and factory waste even in urban area. Stop global warming, as we don't want to destroy our beautiful world. Imagine that our future generations can not enjoy the view like we do now, that's why people should think the solution and stop damaging the environment.

What can be done to manage the environment to meet the needs of development?

It's really need full consideration in managing the environment. If people deforest in order to build houses, it will result as a negative impact in the future, like in the video, destroying the dense forest, which is the water resource. Then people built a huge canal system and houses, it looks good for the people, however the effect is very bad. The forest is taking the important role of water circulation. After water is used by people, it becomes polluted and dry because of bad circulation. Then the canal must be destroyed in order to return the condition. From this example, we know that development is really needed. However, it is also important to keep the environment, to keep the earth's life, for future generation. Nowadays, scientists really concern about conserve the environment. The solution is keep finding the new resources. Renewable resources such as wind, sun energy, etc, must be used efficiently. People have to invent resources that are environmentally friendly. And to repair our forest, implantation must be done. Therefore, development still can be implemented, whereas our world still can breath freely.

Our world is very rich. It gives us all the resources that we can use to run our life. Recently, human has ruined the situation. The climate changes, disasters in everywhere, and the others world phenomenon, i think it is caused by the development that people done without considering the environment. The ice melted, it is because of the global warming, resulting the increase of water level. It is proved by floods that happened frequently. Our world is heater now. It is because of the pollutant and waste of human activity.

What we can do to manage our environment is repairing it. Each person can try to plant one tree, to reduce the global warming. Reduce the used of engine that resulting the pollutant. Recycle as much thing as we can and the most important thing is using new resources that environmentally friendly. People have to reduce the used of unrenewable resources, because when it is used all, we can't restore it. Development can be balanced with nature conservation. People can plant on the top of buildings. People can use water, wind, sun energy to empowered everything. Yes, that is a lot stuff to do, but it must be done thus we can protect our world, in the middle of developing era.

Review of Tsunami, After Math

The movie is about tsunami that happened in Khao Lak, Phuket, Thailand. This film is very ironic, because it shows how lack of preparation in responding to the disaster. After Tsunami has destroyed the area, i think that the government didn't fast enough to send help. Such as medical, evacuation act, and transportation system. In the other hand, non-government organization is seemed more helpful. As i concern, this lack of consideration by the government make more victim. Because the victim who are injured, can not be handled immediately. Moreover, media are being shut down, as the result there are lack of volunteers. From this disaster, there are so many victims and loss of properties. Actually what we can learn is to warn the people before the disaster. Therefore the number of deaths can be decreased. It is also important to know some signs from the nature like huge amount of birds in the sky, that show something will happen. However, the most important things are the immediate evacuation after the disaster and the preparation of first aid.

The story is about Taiji, which is the biggest supplier of dolphin in the world. They slaughter about 23.000 dolphins a year in a very cruel way. This is absolutely wrong and it can deliver the dolphins into extinction. But even most of the people against it, Japan’s government are still continuing  and they also cover this information from the Japanese citizen. Japanese said that it’s their culture. They also blame whale and dolphin for the decline of fishing, as they eat too much. They also pay the participant in International Whaling Commission.

For me, all of this are absolutely wrong. Dolphin is a self-awareness creature. They can fell an sense like human. Beside that, they are human’s friends which is very innocent. Japanese cannot just kill them for profit, because we have to protect them from extinction too. We can’t avoid that Japan is the country with high need of protein. But they should consider about the life continuance of sea creatures. Moreover, dolphins are containing mercury. Then why should they eat dolphin’s meat?

Review of South Park (Whale Wars)

First of all, even it’s just a comedy, there are a lot of deep message that we can get. The story is about Japanese people that always slaughter dolphins and whales. Then a hero comes and changes all of that chaos.

For me personally, I definitely don’t agree with what Japanese do. In the end of the story, we can fin that Japanese are easy to misled and they are ignorant. The story also depicts that Americans assume that Japanese are stupid. They kill dolphins and whales cruelly and without a clear purpose.

However, nobody cares about this trouble and dolphins are closer to the extinction. Whale wars also just concern about increasing the rating, not to the issue itself. Beside that, it is very hard against the Japanese as the government also supporting the dolphin slaughtering. They even want to sacrifice themselves in order to kill a whale.

Why study geography?

All of human beings need to study geography as geography is the science that contains the study about earth, all of the creatures that live in it, environment around it, and the phenomena of it. As far as i concern, it is very important to know the condition of our earth. Morover, by learning Geography, we can conserve our nature which is very important for human's life.
First found by Eratosthenes, Geography provide almost all of the factor that support the continuance of the earth, such as pedology, hydrology, anthropology, etc. By studying this, human can build the bridge toward the better way of earth cultivation. In other hand, Geography also study about the pollution and damage that human has made, therefore we know how to repair and prevent it.
As the conclusion, Geography is that important science because it study about our home, earth, how to protect, fix, and develop it. It depends on the human themselves, to be care of our earth by learning geography and apply it.
